Good Grief, It's hard to believe that we are already starting the 3rd week of classes for the spring semester. My apologies for not writing sooner- the month of January has been crazy, and I'm just now getting used to my new groove.
As the President of RHA I spent the first few days of January getting ready for RA/RHA training and welcoming a new executive to the group, who has really started off strong, and is to be commended. With the combination of the halls opening and classes beginning there was little time to reflect on the spring semester.
As a 3rd year student, yet classified as a senior with credits this semester will be my most difficult. As a theatre education major I am directing my one act, while simultaneously trying to run RHA, fulfill my duties on the IACURH regional board and still do all of the other student stuff that is required.
What is exciting about it being January though is that my staff and friends, and even some of my family are all participating in what we like to call "Get Hot '09" which I guess started off okay- most of us decided that it would be good to start working out regularly to help with stress and build some strength and I know there are a few people who are trying to eat healthier and what not. I've been working out primarily, which has been really great and kept my energy level up over the first two weeks of class, but this past week i got a cold, so I'm not sure how much working out will happen this week.
I guess one thing that is important to remember going into the spring semester is that despite being overly busy, it's a chance to do really well in new classes and move forward. Within my job there are exciting changes on the horizon which I'm sure will make the next few months interesting...
until next time... Stay Classy UNC... (yeah i know that was cheesy...)
